Reference: 'Verses

Mar. 13th, 2020 | 05:21 pm

At the moment, there are only two 'verses used for Leon, one obviously way more than the other.

Normal: The one Leon will most likely be in by default. This 'verse includes all canon from RE2, RE4, Gaiden and S.D. Perry's novels and is set after them. The movie Degeneration is disregarded here.
NOTE: It may occassionally be implied that Leon is infected (via mun's interpretation of the events at the end of Gaiden) but he will rarely speak about it. It is not dangerous, as it was taken care of in the early stages, but has merely enhanced him to a minor degree because the mun thinks it's a little far out for Leon to go running up walls and backflipping off of them.

Umbrella: Will concentrate on the happenings in and between RE2 and the time in which Umbrella was shut down. This also includes the events within the novels and Gaiden.

RE4: Taken in the midst of Leon's mission in Spain. Where exactly he is will usually be specified.

Infection: A 'verse in which Leon's infection has suddenly taken a turn for the worst after his trip to Spain. It makes him violently ill and has been known to alter his behavior on occassion. He is prone to bouts of instability that likely cause him to act violently and irrationally. Unfortunately, he is embarrassed and frustrated by his condition and will spend a great deal of time stifling and hiding his condition from others, particularly those close to him. Leon is on a vigorous search for a cure and will most likely result in turning into a zombie if he is not cured.

Classified: Report 4.1, Kennedy

Mar. 14th, 2009 | 03:35 pm

The information disclosed in this report was obtained through personal experience and various files I found while in Spain, specifically those belonging to a researcher I met while there named Luis Sera.

As a bodyguard to President Graham's family, it was my duty to ensure they were kept safe at all costs. When the president's daughter, Ashley Graham, was kidnapped, I was sent to a small rural area of Spain to track her down.

What awaited me there was beyond anyone's expectations.

As it turns out, there was a religious cult festering deep on the insides of Spain known as the Los Illuminados. They were lead by a man named Osmund Saddler. Evidently, the cult was centuries old and used parasites known as the Las Plagas to lure and take control of people in order to convert them to their cult. This was brought to a halt when the castellans of the nearby Salazar Castle sealed the Las Plagas away and persecuted the Los Illuminados.

Once the eighth castellan, Ramon Salazar, came to power, however, Saddler manipulated him into releasing the seal. At the time, the Las Plagas were fossilized from being held underground for so long and had not survived. Or so they thought. The villagers that assisted with the excavation were suffering from convulsions and hostile tendancies a couple years after they had dug up the Las Plagas, until they turned into vicious and conscienceless savages. According to Sera's reports, the Las Plagas survived by lying in a dormant state at the cellular level and took on a spore-like form. The villagers inhaled the spores and consequently ressurected the parasites.

Sera referred to these possessed villagers as the Ganado.

As for Salazar, once these parasites were excavated, he, along with Bitores Mendez, the village chief, were injected with the Las Plagas. Also worth noting is that they seemed to retain a higher level of intelligence and a certain amount of freedom from the uniform thoughts of the Ganado. It's possible it was only because Saddler allowed them that slightly larger range of control in order to be effective leaders in his absence. Anyone with a Las Plagas parasite that had reached the adult state was completely under his control.

There was also a small island about 6.3 miles off the coast of Salazar Castle. It appeared to be the base of operations for the Los Illuminados. Massive quantities of ammunition and weaponry were stored there, as well as their research and the products of it. The traitor in question also resided there.

Somehow, Agent Jack Krauser faked his death and mentioned a desire to revive Umbrella Corporations. His motivations for affiliating with the Los Illuminados were simply to acquire a sample of the Las Plagas, most likely for Umbrella's uses. It was also made clear that he was Ashley Graham's kidnapper. I was also able to discover that Saddler's reasons for having her kidnapped were to inject the Las Plagas parasite into her body and return her to the United States. By doing this, the Las Plagas would be released and infect those around her, namely President Graham. Saddler's goals were to take over the world and by taking control of the president (and consequently the United States), he would be able to easily spread the Las Plagas throughout the world.

Additionally, aside from myself and Krauser, there was a third party intruding on the Los Illuminados. A woman possibly allied with Umbrella was pursuing with the same motivations as Krauser. I was unable to stop her from retrieving the sample.

The statuses of Bitores Mendez, Ramon Salazar, Jack Krauser, Osmund Saddler and Luis Sera are deceased.
